Gordes
Gordes is the small city rate as "un des plus beaux villages de France" that means "one of the most beautiful France village". Located at the top of a hill from where you can see the valley and the Luberon mountains.
Gordes is a typical Provence village with its small paving stone streets, and its stone houses.
But Gordes is also the village of the Bories à 3km at the west of Gordes. It is an old village built with agricultural lodges wholly in stone. Its is now arranged for tourism in order to received persons for visit.
The acces is very beautiful too, with small stone walls, oaks, olive trees, and Provence's vegetation.
The Mas le Clos des Chênes is also close by the village of the Bories.

The Senanque Abbey surrounded by lavander fields. This 12th century monument is open to visits. Ce monument du 12ème siècle est ouvert à la visite. Monks who live in the abbey produce and sell Lavander, liqueur, honey...
L'Isle sur la Sorgue
A watter city which is acrossed by a lot of flume. This flume city is at 15km from Gordes.
Have strolls in the streets by the flumeside. Dont' miss the 14 paddle wheel. In former days these paddle wheels gave the energy to the paper industry, to the wattermill and the silk industry.

Cavaillon
At 15km at the south west of Gordes, Cavaillon is very known for its famous melon.
Melon season is in spring and summer. But additionally to these culinary resources in this city, discover Cavaillon as an architectural site : do not miss to visit the 4th and 12th century cathedral and the cloister.
Apt
Located between Vaucluse montains and Luberon montain, Apt is the typical Provence city.
